This Sources Sought Notice is being posted in accordance with DFARS PGI 206.302-1(d). The Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) is considering sources that are capable of providing additional/out of scope repairs to a Caterpillar Diesel Engine under contract number N32253-19-P-0064. Additional repairs include replacing left and right side exhaust manifolds, inspecting main fuel distribution pump, replacing individual plunger pumps, and resealing fuel pump and retime/fuel pump. The contract was awarded to Hawthorne Pacific Corp on 21 May 2019. The area of repair required by the original contract award has been opened by Hawthorne Pacific Corp and the additional repairs will be completed in parallel with the incumbent contractor. The original performance work statement associated with the contract award is attached for review. The required period of performance dates are no later than 30 September 2019. This is not a request for proposals. Any interested party that believes it can satisfy this requirement may submit a written capability statement. If no sources beyond the contract awardee are found to be capable of completing the additional repairs, the government intends to complete an out of scope modification to the current contract. The government assumes no financial responsibility for any cost incurred. Telephonic responses are not allowed. Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the requirements in accordance with the attached Performance Work Statement and capable of meeting the period of performance dates, are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 0900 HST 02 August 2019. All questions and responses regarding this Sources Sought Notice must be emailed to megan.ho@navy.mil. In determining whether or not to compete this requirement, the Government has sole discretion.
