The Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). PHNSY & IMF intends to award a sole source contract to Northrop Grumman to provide materials to PHNSY & IMF for repair of the #1 Ship’s Service Turbine Generator (SSTG) onboard a Virginia class submarine. Northrop Grumman is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and is certified to provide materials for the Ship’s Service Turbine Generator (SSTG) onboard a Virginia class submarine. In accordance with DFARS PGI 206.302-1, a sources sought notice (ID# N32253-21-R-0006) was posted to the Government Point of Entry (GPE), beta.sam.gov, from 26 MAR 2021 – 27 MAR 2021 to determine whether other sources could satisfy this requirement. The Government received no responses from industry indicating capability in performing the requirements. Note: The N32253-21-R-0006 solicitation document is available upon request to those interested parties who submitted capability statements. Please email both the primary and secondary point of contacts listed in this posting to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2021-03, DFARS (last updated 01/15/2021), and NMCARS 18-15. This pre-solicitation notification does not constitute a request for proposals. Submission of any information in response to this notification is purely voluntary and the Government does not assume financial responsibility for any costs incurred.

The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336611 – Ship Building and Repairing. The Product Service Code is J999 – Non-Nuclear Ship Repair (West). This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposal.
