Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to seek eligible contractors to perform pier-side intrusive material inspections of CO2 Removal Units, Scrubber No. 1, Scrubber No. 2, and CO H2 removal units, Burner No. 1 and Burner No. 2 for a 688 Class availability, with Submarine Maintenance Monitoring and Support Performance Monitoring Team (SMMS PMT) assistance under the on-site direction of PHNSY. The primary focus of this task will be thorough intrusive inspection of the scrubbers and burners. This inspection is the first step in the new Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) driven maintenance philosophy. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336611. Product Service Code is J020 Maintenance, Repair, Rebuilding of Equipment- Ship and Marine Equipment. Size standard is 1,250. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The requirement is for... The Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) intends to release a solicitation on or around 05 Dec 19 utilizing full and open competition. The requirement is for S9G Shift Test Engineer (STE) Initial Qualification Course training for 1-3 individuals in early 2020, pending the ability to provide qualified candidates who meet hiring and security clearance and the Contractor’s training schedule. Contractor shall provide training in accordance with the NAVSEA 0989-028-5000, Manual for the Control of Testing and Plant Conditions, Chapter 4, Section 4.2. This training session will be provided at the Contractor’s facility. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 611519 - Other Technical and Trade Schools. The Product Service Code is U099 - Education/Training- Other. This is not a request for quotes. The government assumes no financial responsibility for any cost incurred. A Draft Performance Work Statement and a Draft Solicitation SF18 are included as attachments to this announcement but are subject to change. If a solicitation is released for this requirement, the Government will require a quick turnaround for quotes, as the period of performance is expected to begin in early 2020.
