THIS IS A SYNOPSIS NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for proposal/bid/quotation and no contract will be awarded from this notice. Military Sealift Command (MSC) has a requirement for the upcoming Mid-Term Availability (MTA) availability on the USNS JOSHUA HUMPHREYS (T-AO 188). The period of performance for this requirement is on or about 1 September 2023 for ninety five (95) calendar days. The USNS USNS JOSHUA HUMPHREYS (T-AO 188) has a length of 677 Ft and 6 in, a Beam of 97 Ft, Draft of 36 Ft and Displacement of 40,700 long Tons and 42,382 short tons at full load. Area of consideration are East and Gulf Coast. Major work items associated with this availability include: Tank Preservation 4 Port Salt Water Ballast Tank, 4 Starboard Saltwater Ballast Tank, 8 Port Salt Water Ballast Tank, 8 Starboard Salt Water Tank, Miscellaneous Steel Replacement, Paint and Preservation, Miscellaneous Tank Repairs, Pump Repairs (MSW, JW, and CFW), Dry-Docking (Stern Tube Seal Liner Replacement) The estimated issue date for this solicitation is on or about 17 January 2023, with an estimated closing date on or about 01 February 2023. Upon issuance, the solicitation and supporting documentation will be posted can be found on www.sam.gov under solicitation number N3220523R4029. A Sources Sought Notice was posted on www.SAM.gov on 09 December 2022 with a response date of 27 December 2022. As a result of said notice, this requirement will be solicited as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. MSC’s Small Business Deputy, Jacqueline Alford, reviewed the market research results and concurred with the decision to procure this requirement as such on 11 January 2023. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation in response to the solicitation which shall be considered by MSC. Additionally, all responses must provide a DUN & Bradstreet Number and a Cage Code. The appropriate NAICS Code is 336611. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from this potential source as a result of this synopsis.
