This is not a solicitation or request for proposal/bid/quotation and no contract will be awarded from this notice. Military Sealift Command (MSC) has a requirement for the upcoming Regular Overhaul / Dry Docking (ROH/DD) availability on the USNS PATUXENT (T-AO 201). The period of performance for this requirement is on or about 14 July 2023 for seventy five (75) calendar days. The USNS PATUXENT (T-AO 201) has a length of 677 Ft and 6 in, a Beam of 97 Ft, Draft of 36 Ft and Displacement of 40,700 long Tons and 42,382 short tons at full load. Area of consideration are East and Gulf Coast. Major work items associated with this availability include: Tank Preservation 4 Port Salt Water Ballast Tank, 4 Starboard Saltwater Ballast Tank, 8 Port Salt Water Ballast Tank, 8 Starboard Salt Water Tank, Miscellaneous Steel Replacement, Paint and Preservation, Miscellaneous Tank Repairs, Pump Repairs (MSW, JW, and CFW), Dry-Docking (Stern Tube Seal Liner Replacement), The estimated issue date for this solicitation is on or about 14 December 2022, with an estimated closing date on or about 28 January 2023. Upon issuance, the solicitation and supporting documentation will be posted can be found on www.sam.gov under solicitation number N3220523R4015. A Sources Sought Notice was posted on www.SAM.gov on 04 November 2022 with a response date of 21 November 2022. As a result of said notice, this requirement will be solicited as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. MSC’s Small Business Deputy, Leah Baker, reviewed the market research results and concurred with the decision to procure this requirement as such on 21 November 2022. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation in response to the solicitation which shall be considered by MSC. Additionally, all responses must provide a DUN & Bradstreet Number and a Cage Code. The appropriate NAICS Code is 336611. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from this potential source as a result of this synopsis. Military Sealift Command (MSC) is seeking eligible businesses for the Regular Overhaul (ROH) on the USNS PATUXENT (T-AO 201) commencing on or about 14 July 2023 for a period of seventy-five (75) calendar days. The USNS PATUXENT has an overall length of 677 ft 6 in, a beam of 97 ft 6 in and a draft of 36ft. Work is to be performed at the Contractor’s facility on or about the above-mentioned dates. Area of consideration is East/Gulf Coast. The estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about 14 December 2022. This office anticipates award of a contract no later than 15 May 2023. The appropriate NAICS code is 336611. This is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this sources sought. It is requested that interested businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to provide the requested items. This document shall provide at a minimum the following: Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE Code and a statement regarding small business designation The facility where the work will be performed Partnership, teaming, joint-ventures or mentor agreements with any large businesses. Submission of a capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any future offerings but participation will assist the Government in tailoring the requirement to be consistent with industry.
