Reference# N3220522Q0172. Under contract authority FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) - Military Sealift Command Norfolk (MSC-Norfolk VA) intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Appleton Marine, Inc. (Appleton), the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Appleton is the OEM for the required deck crane material and is the only vendor that can provide deck crane material onboard USNS CITY OF BISMARCK. Appleton Marine, Inc. 3030 E Pershing ST Appleton, Wisconsin 54911-8671 Appleton is the OEM and only vender that can provide material for deck cranes onboard the T-EPF class vessels. Only Appleton can satisfy requirements for proprietary material and service support critical to the ship’s deck crane. There is no other source for Appleton OEM parts in the United States. MSC has no plans at this time to compete future contracts for the type of service covered by this document. If another potential source emerges, MSC will assess whether competition for future requirements is feasible. Please see attachment for required material being procured for the Appleton deck crane.
