Contract Award Number: TBD Contract Award Dollar Amount: TBD Contract Line Item Number: TBD Contract Award Date: TBD Contractor: TBD Description: This requirement is for one U.S. flag, Jones Act compliant, ocean-going certified tug capable of towing berthing barge APL-67 “IAW the U.S. Navy Tow Manual (SL740-AA-MAN-010)”. The requirement is for one trip. The intended performance will be one tow trip from Naval Base San Diego (USA) to Naval Base Yokosuka, Japan. The laydays are 18-23 September 2021, and offerors are to provide the date available to pick up the barge at San Diego, CA and to provide the date the barge will be delivered at the destination. Place of Contract Performance: The port of departure will be out of Naval Base San Diego (USA), and the port of destination will be out of Naval Base Yokosuka, Japan. Set-aside Status: The decision to release this solicitation as a 100% total small business set-aside is based on responses received from a recent market survey for this service. All responsible small business sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. MSC’s Small Business Representative has concurred with this decision.
