Procurement of – ‘HS’ rated Manual Pallet Truck (MPT) in support of MSCHQ-Norfolk and all T-AKE/ T-AOE/ and T-AO Class vessels. The requested item is a critical material requirement used in supporting ammunition (AMMO)/ordnance handling and transport operations aboard designated MSC Afloat units. This said, if identified class vessels performing these Ammo/Ordnance movement tasks do not have properly functioning MPT equipment, there would be a substantial risk to the affected vessel and probable loss of mission capability, thus ‘gravely’ affecting operations across the MSC and U.S. Naval Fleets.
