The Military Sealift Command has a requirement for the upcoming Mid-Term Availability (MTA) for the USNS JOHN LENTHALL (T-AO 189). The period of performance for this requirement is on/about 10 June 2019 and continuing for a period of 50 calendar days. The USNS JOHN LENTHALL has a length of 677 Ft, a Beam of 97 Ft and 5 in, Draft of 35 Ft and Displacement of 40,700 long Tons and 42,382 short tons at full load. Area of consideration is East/Gulf Coast. Major work items associated with this availability include: DFM Contaminated Tank Bottom Replacement, 01 Level Vent Plenum Steel Replacement and Preservation, Potable Water Tanks Recoat, Port Main Engine 12,000 Support Item, Port and STBD Main Engine Reduction Gear Inspection, Main Engine Intercooler Cleaning, Switchboard and MCC Cleaning, Recondition AC Motors, Cable Bulkhead Collar Magna Rock Replacement, SSDG No. 3 Overhaul Support, DFM Cargo Piping Repairs, Armory AC Replacement, CT Winch No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 Overhaul, Fire and AFFF Piping Replacement, Fire Damper Inspection and Repairs, Annual Inspection of Fire Fighting Equipment, Annual Inspection of Fire and AFFF Hoses, Annual Life Boat Inspection and Life Boat Davit Arm Removal, Steel Replacement and Recoating. After issuance, solicitation and supporting documents will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities website https://www.fbo.gov/. This requirement will be solicited as 100% small business set-aside. The estimated issue date for this solicitation is on or about 20 January 2019. Upon issuance, the solicitation and supporting documentation will be posted at FEDBIZOPS (https://www.fbo.gov). All requests must provide DUN & Bradstreet number and Cage Code. The appropriate NAICS Code is 336611. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from this potential source as a result of synopsis.
