Request for Information (RFI) Fall ProtectionTower Maintenance The Military Sealift Command (MSC) Total Force Management Directorate (N1) is responsible for developing, enabling, and reinforcing corporate policies and procedures to maintain MSC’s total force and readiness; preparing an afloat workforce capable of meeting the readiness requirements of the customer; and creating a Human Capital strategy that ensures the right people with the right skills are provided to the right place for the right work, at the right time, and who have the professional and personal tools they need to be successful. N1 also provides CIVMARs with specialized shipboard training courses. The Government is seeking information on capable and qualified companies to meet the following requirement: The Government requires maintenance on two (2) Fall Protection Towers located at MSC Training Center Hampton Roads (TCHR) located at Fort Eustis,Virginia. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, certifications, supplies, transportation, supervision, and non-personal services necessary to perform preservation work, qualification work, and needed additions to TCHR’s Fall Protection Towers. There are two steel (painted) towers with ladders and deck grating. One tower is 40’ tall. The second tower is 20’ tall. Respondents are encouraged to provide any feedback regarding the draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) and industry’s ability to meet the Government’s requirement. Each response should also include: Company name Company address Company point of contact, phone and email address Company Business Size (i.e., other than small business or small business) Feedback on the ability to meet all requirements in draft PWS Feedback on the draft PWS, if any Please limit responses to three (3) pages. Not responding to this request does not preclude participation in future requests, if such are issued. Please note, during this time the Government is unable to provide direct responses to questions received in response to this RFI. However, due consideration will be given to all feedback and any feedback received may be used to revise the requirements. This is not a request for proposals, and no contract will be awarded as result to responses received. This announcement is for market research and planning purpose only.
