The Department of the Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC) is seeking information on qualified and experienced sources for planning purposes in an effort to derive a contract vehicle that will provide qualified contractors to develop an approved American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and United State Coast Guard (USCG) design to replace the four (4) existing ship’s service diesel generator (SSDG) ISOTTA FRASCHINI MOTORI (IFM) engine sets, model V1312C2ME (Reference 5), on the T-EPF class vessels. Alternative generator technologies to diesel internal combustion such as micro turbines are encouraged.
