Contract Award Number: TBD Contract Award Dollar Amount: TBD Contract Line Item Number: TBD Contract Award Date: TBD Contractor: TBD Description: This requirement is for one U.S. flag, Jones Act compliant, coastwise endorsed, ocean-going certified tug capable of towing yard craft YC-1633 “IAW the U.S. Navy Tow Manual (SL740-AA-MAN-010)”. The intended performance will be one tow trip from Naval Base Kitsap, Bremerton, WA to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Pearl Harbor. The offerors are to provide the laydays available to pick up the barge at Naval Base Kitsap, Bremerton, WA. The barge is currently available. Delivery of the barge to the place of destination is required no later than 30 April 2021. Place of Contract Performance: The vessel will operate out of Virginia Beach, VA and throughout the western Atlantic Ocean, Key West, Florida, Gulf of Mexico, and Caribbean and be required to pull into military and civilian ports as needed by specific training evolutions. The operational areas will be discussed with vessel operator prior to conducting ship load out. Set-aside Status: The decision to release this solicitation as a 100% total small business set-aside is based on responses received from a recent market survey for this service. All responsible small business sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. MSC’s Small Business Representative has concurred with this decision.
