THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. Military Sealift Command (MSC) is seeking eligible businesses that can provide Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts and services to support the overhaul and repairs for Buffalo Pumps installed onboard on MSC vessels, including MSC ships and any other Government owned or Government chartered ships designated by MSC. The types of pumps include, but are not limited to: fire pumps, seawater pumps, ballast pumps and variety of auxiliary pumps. These pumps are categorized as critical equipment mainly due to the integration into other critical systems and supplies cooling water for other critical machinery and/or sea water for firefighting onboard MSC Vessels. MSC did not acquire the proprietary information and technical data rights beyond general arrangement drawings, thus MSC does not have the manufacturing and technical information required to evaluate and determine whether non-OEM replacement parts or services offered are equivalent to the OEM components, replacement parts and services. All businesses are encouraged to respond to this Sources Sought. The appropriate NAICS Codes are 333914 and 811310. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition for the parts and services. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. It is requested that interested businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to provide the requested items. This document shall address, as a minimum the following: (1) Company Profile, office location(s), DUNS number, and CAGE Code; (2) Licensing Agreement with Buffalo Pumps; (3) list of related experience on providing parts or servicing this manufacturer's pump system installed onboard the MSC Vessels.
