The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit the proposed purchase order as a Sole Source to Fluke Electronics Corporation under the authority of FAR Part 12, FAR Part 13. Fluke Electronics is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the equipment listed above and is the only OEM authorized to repair these units. Repair is required because we lack the capability to repair these units in house. These units are repairable/calibrated only by Fluke Electronics because Fluke Electronics holds proprietary rights to the design of modules that are required to repair/calibrate the problem. Some of the configuration criteria require special subassemblies that are only available from Fluke Electronics. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any DoD contract. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
