The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) Program Manager Air-226 (PMA-226) Contracted Air Services (CAS) program provides Contractor Owned Contractor Operated (COCO) aircraft to the Department of the Navy (DoN) Fleet and Test customers. The primary mission of Fixed Wing Airborne Range Services (FWARS) is to provide supplemental Range Surveillance and Clearance (RS and C) to ensure Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) Ranges, Target Operations, Instrumentation, Laboratories (RTOIL) and Naval Test Wing Pacific (NTWP) are clear of vessels that are a hazard to weapons testing and fleet training events. This support includes range clearance for Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT and E) surface and air testing and other range events at Point Mugu Sea Range (PMSR), CA.
