The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit the proposed purchase order on a brand name basis under the authority of FAR 52.211-6. The EMC maintenance must be Legato under the authority of FAR Part 12 & FAR Part 13. The integrity of the network would be at stake if new hardware configurations/platforms were introduced, particularly with a staff unfamiliar with off-brands. As such, the potential for introduction of IA vulnerabilities is significantly higher. Request is set-aside for Total Small Business under the authority of FAR Part 52.219-6.
