The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division Atlantic Test Range, Telemetry Branch Team (5.2.4) at Patuxent River, Maryland announces its intention to procure, on a sole-source basis, a firm fixed-price contract for a Universal Programmable Switching System (20-3000 MHz) (P/N SWM32X-082415A) The Real-Time Telemetry Processing System (RTPS) provides processing and display of data which is collected and transmitted as telemetry signals from the aircraft or other test article. RTPS receives the telemetry signals, decodes each individual measurement included in the signals received, computes additional "derived measurements' needed, and makes all measurements available for display in a Project Engineer Station (PES). The actual data displays are then selected by the Flight Test Engineers according to the requirements of the specific test being conducted. RTPS operations are conducted and data processed in a sequential collection of equipment called a stream. This switching system is uniquely designed for use in switching RF signals. The capacity can be expanded, in single increments of 1 inputs/outputs, to a maximum size of 32 inputs and 32 outputs, and includes Option-X display. This expandability provides ATR with the flexibility to purchase what is needed to meet the short-term requirements as well as to expand to meet future switching requirements. The Universal Switching system also provides a remote control capability that will enable ATR to install this unit at a remote location (Bogue Field) and operate it from ATR. This install will be part of a remote telemetry tracking ground station that will be used to provide RF coverage of warning areas off the coast of North/South Carolina (W-122).
