URT-140 Radio Beacon
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Patuxent River, Maryland, is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of procuring parts and repairing URT-140 Radio Beacon sets, with an anticipated need for 1,500 to 2,200 repairs per year. The work involves component-level troubleshooting, board replacement, software updates, and performance testing to restore the safety-critical beacons to full operational capability. Respondents must detail their experience with aviation safety-critical equipment and their proposed approach to managing repairs given that the OEM, Elbit Systems, retains full control of the necessary technical data and proprietary parts. The government anticipates a potential solicitation for these repair services in Fiscal Year 2026-2028.
