The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a sole source, firm fixed price contract with Martin-Baker Aircraft Company, Ltd. (MBA) of Higher Denham, United Kingdom the sole designer of Navy Aircrew Common Ejection Seat Sequencer, P/N MBEU-146470-6, to deliver Navy Aircrew Common Ejection Seat Sequencer Shorting Plug Engineering Change Proposal. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The government does not possess or cannot provide the technical data package/drawings necessary to manufacture the item. As the sole designer and developer of NACES, only Martin-Baker Aircraft. possesses the peculiar engineering capability, resources, expertise, intricate knowledge, and data necessary to satisfy the Government’s minimum requirements.
