Solicitation N00421-21-Q-0411 issued as a combined synopsis/solicitation. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract, on a sole source requirement to LUNA, 301 1st Street, SW, Suite 200 Roanoke, VA 240111, Cage Code OP029. This procurement is for corrosion sensors, used for outdoor data collection. In order to maintain compatibility with NAVAIR lab equipment, software and data analysis techniques, the Luna Acuity sensors are the only ones that provide the necessary information in a format necessary for this requirement. The sensors, Acuity LS Based Units (PN A0201), and Acuity LS LID Sensor Element Panel (PN A0203-03) support the requirement for the Materials Engineering Division, Air Systems Group, Air Vehicle Department. The procedures of FAR Part 12 and 13.5 will be utilized for this commercial acquisition. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any DOD contract. This may be accomplished electronically at http://www.sam.gov/vendor.cfm. This procurement is a total set-aside for small business under the authority of FAR Part 52.219-6. This is a firm fixed-price procurement; therefore, the Offerors initial offer should represent the vendor’s best quote in terms of price and technical acceptability.
