The government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis, and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with SCI Technology, Inc. (SCI) under the authority implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and 13. SCI is the sole manufacture of the Communication Switching Unit (CSU) and Intercom System Control (ISC) that is currently installs on the Navy's V22 aircraft, the CMV-22. This notice is intent to Sole Source with SCI. Contractor must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) Database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any Department of Defense Contract. This can be accomplished electronically at http://www.sam.gov/vendor.cfm The Government will not pay for any information received. ***Basis for Award*** The Government intends to award this on a Sole Source basis. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal. However, all proposals MUST be received no later than 4 P.M. EST 08/01/2019.
