Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound intends to procure Gated Wyes (part number B-97) on a brand-name-only basis from Elkhart Brass Manufacturing Company, as it is the direct replacement for existing equipment with over 20 years of reliable performance. The use of alternative manufacturers poses an unacceptable risk of incompatibility with the existing firefighting system. Interested companies may identify their capability to respond, which will be considered to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will evaluate price reasonableness and past performance as part of the responsibility determination. The anticipated award date is July 2026, and performance will occur at the Puget Sound location.
