Naval Supply Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (NAVSUP FLC PS), in support of Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC), Yokosuka, intends to issue a firm-fixed-price supply-type contract on a sole source basis to RIX Industries. The requirement is for an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)-certified Field Service Representative (FSR) to perform maintenance, repair, and programming of Low-Pressure Air Compressors (LPACs) onboard a U.S. Navy vessel in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). This acquisition will be conducted on a sole source basis with RIX Industries in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) — soliciting from a single source. RIX Industries is the only known source with the OEM authorization, proprietary technical data, and certified personnel required to meet the Government’s performance and support requirements. A Justification and Approval (J&A) supporting the use of other than full and open competition has been prepared in accordance with FAR 13.501(a). This notice is not a request for competitive quotes / proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement by the date specified in the solicitation. Any responses received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Naval Supply Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (NAVSUP FLC PS), in support of Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC), Yokosuka, intends to solicit and negotiate a firm-fixed-price supply-type contract on a sole source basis with RIX Industries. The requirement is for an OEM-certified field service representative to perform maintenance, repair and programming of Low-Pressure Air Compressors (LPACs) on a US Navy Vessel in accordance with the Statement of Work. A Justification and Approval (J&A) for the use of other than full and open competition has been prepared in accordance with FAR 13.501(a). The anticipated posting date of the solicitation is 05/14/2025, with a closing date on or about 05/21/2025. This requirement is being procured using FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures.
