The Government requires 12 each of a flight-critical part (NSN 7R-1650-016877560-LC) under a source-approved acquisition, delivered FOB origin. Only previously approved Government sources have been solicited, and the Government intends to negotiate with one source under FAR 6.302-1. New sources must qualify through the design control activity and submit the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure data with their response; incomplete source-approval submissions will not be considered for award. Responsible sources may still identify interest and capability or submit proposals/capability statements, though any decision not to compete is discretionary. If a new-source approval cannot be processed in time or approval requirements preclude timely supply, award may proceed based on Fleet support needs.
