The Government intends a sole-source/FAR 6.302-1 acquisition for 92 each of an NSN item, with delivery FOB origin and early/incremental deliveries accepted. The item is flight critical and requires Government source approval prior to award; only previously approved sources have been solicited, and alternate sources must qualify through the design control activity and submit the required NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure data with their offers. Offers that fail to provide all required source approval data or proof of prior submission will not be considered for award, and new-source approval time is normally too long to delay award pending approval. The Government will not use FAR Part 12 commercial-item procedures, though interested parties may identify commercial-item interest/capability to the contracting officer.
