The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 for this flight-critical item, quantity 184 EA, with early and incremental deliveries accepted and delivery FOB origin. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity, and only previously approved sources have been solicited; alternate sources must qualify through the design control activity and submit all data required by the applicable NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure. Offers that fail to provide all required source approval data, or that do not document prior submission of that data, will not be considered for award, and approval of a new source generally cannot delay award if Fleet support needs require proceeding. The Government is not using FAR Part 12 commercial-item procedures, though interested parties may identify commercial-item capability to the contracting officer. Responsible sources may submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements, but this is not a request for competitive proposals.
