The requirement is for 60 each of a flight-critical part (NSN 7R-1680-015293705-V2, TDP VER 001) with delivery FOB origin. Acquisition is restricted to sources previously approved by the Government because the approved sources retain essential design/manufacturing data and the item cannot be acquired via full and open competition. New sources must qualify under the design control activity’s procedures and submit the required NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure data with their offer; offers missing required data or prior submission documentation will not be considered. Approval of a new source normally cannot be completed in time to avoid delaying award, and award may proceed based on Fleet support needs if source approval cannot be processed in time.
