The government requires 38 EA of a flight-critical part, delivered FOB origin. Only sources previously approved by the design control activity have been solicited because the approved sources retain essential data and manufacturing knowledge, and available technical data does not support full and open competition. New sources must qualify under the cognizant Government engineering activity’s procedures and submit the information required by the applicable NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure with their offer. Offers that do not provide all required source-approval data, or document prior submission of that data, will not be considered for award. If source approval cannot be completed in time to meet Government requirements, award may proceed based on Fleet support needs.
