This procurement covers 88 each of a flight-critical item, delivered FOB origin. Government source approval is required before contract award because the item is flight critical and/or the technical data cannot support full and open competition, and only previously approved sources have been solicited. New sources must submit the required source approval information with their proposal per the applicable NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure for spares or repair. If source approval is already under evaluation at NAVSUP WSS, include a copy of the cover letter that forwarded the request. If approval cannot be completed in time to meet Government requirements, award may proceed based on Fleet support needs.
