This is a one-unit, flight-critical item requiring Government source approval prior to contract award, so only previously approved sources have been solicited. Unapproved sources must submit the required NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Brochure information with their proposal, and offers missing required data will not be considered. Qualification requirements must be met at the time of award under FAR clause 52.209-1. If source approval cannot be processed in time or approval requirements preclude timely acquisition, award may continue based on Fleet support needs. The Government is not using FAR Part 12 commercial-item procedures for this acquisition, and delivery is FOB Origin.
