The Government requires 50 each of this flight-critical item with delivery FOB origin, but the part’s design is unstable and major changes are contemplated that may render the present configuration obsolete. Pending those configuration changes, limited acquisition/repair from the current source is anticipated. Government source approval is required prior to award, only previously approved sources have been solicited, and new sources must submit the required NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Brochure information and technical data with their offers—or document prior submission—to be considered. If source approval cannot be processed in time or approval would prevent timely delivery, award may continue based on Fleet support needs. Military/federal specifications and standards, QPLs/QPDs, handbooks, and related documents are available through DODSSP/ASSIST in Philadelphia, PA, and FAR Part 12 commercial-item procedures are not being used.
