Engineering source approval by the design control activity is required, and only previously approved sources have been solicited. An alternate source must qualify under the design control activity’s procedures and submit the required NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure data with its proposal; offers lacking all required data or proof of prior submission will not be considered. The Government is not using FAR Part 12 commercial-item policies, but interested parties may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item.
