This requirement is for 2 EA of a flight-critical NSN item under TDP VER 001, with delivery FOB origin. The item requires Government engineering source approval by the design control activity because the approved source(s) retain essential design, manufacturing/repair, or technical data not economically available to the Government. Only previously approved sources have been solicited, and the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. Non-approved sources must submit the source approval information required by the applicable NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure with their proposal; offers failing to provide all required data will not be considered. Responsible sources may still identify their interest and capability or submit proposals, but any decision not to compete remains within the Government’s discretion.
