This requirement is for 30 each of a flight-critical part, with delivery FOB origin. The item requires Government engineering source approval by the design control activity, and only previously approved sources have been solicited because available technical data are insufficient for full and open competition. An unapproved source must submit the required source-approval information per the applicable NAVSUP WSS brochure with its proposal; offers lacking required data will not be considered. If source approval cannot be completed in time and approval requirements would prevent meeting Government needs, award may proceed based on Fleet support needs. The Government is not using FAR Part 12 commercial-item procedures, but interested parties may identify commercial-item interest and capability to the contracting officer within 15 days of the notice.
