The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 for NSN 7R-1680-016099070-P8, quantity 2 EA, FOB origin, because the data needed for competitive acquisition or repair is unavailable or uneconomical to obtain. Only previously approved sources have been solicited for this flight-critical item or where technical data is inadequate for full and open competition. New sources must submit NAVSUP WSS source approval information with their offers, and offers lacking required source approval data will not be considered. Award may proceed based on Fleet support needs if source approval cannot be completed in time. Although FAR Part 12 commercial-item policies are not being used, interested persons may identify commercial-item interest and capability to the contracting officer.
