The Government intends a sole-source award under FAR 6.302-1 for a flight-critical item (NSN 7R-7025-016437221-BL, Qty 105 EA, delivery FOB Origin). Only Government-approved sources have been solicited, and new sources must obtain Government source approval before award by submitting the required data from the applicable NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure with their proposal. Source approval normally cannot be completed in time to delay award, and the Government may proceed based on Fleet support needs if approval cannot be processed in time. All responsible sources may express interest/capability or submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements, but this notice is not a request for competitive proposals and any decision to compete is discretionary. FAR Part 12 commercial-item procedures will not be used, though interested parties may identify commercial-item interest/capability to the contracting officer.
