This commercial item procurement amendment increases the required quantity from 1 each to 57 each. The addendum applies only to P-8 CAT 1 and CAT 2 items and is added to FAR 52.212-4 inspection and acceptance terms. The contractor must notify the government of proposed engineering changes affecting managed components and may not make changes without written authorization if they affect interchangeability, performance, weight, safety, reliability, service life, fit, form, function, maintainability, FAA type certification, or part re-identification. Change notifications must include affected part numbers and a required approval date, and commercially available change documentation such as service bulletins or OEM product line change notifications must be made available. Early and incremental deliveries are accepted and preferred, and contractual documents are deemed issued when mailed, faxed, or sent electronically, with government acceptance of the contractor’s proposal forming bilateral agreement.
