This opportunity requires Government source approval prior to contract award because the items are flight critical and/or available technical data is inadequate for full and open competition repair. Only the previously approved source will be solicited, and new-source approval normally cannot be accommodated without delaying award. If you are not an approved source, you must include with your proposal the information specified in the Source Approval Information Brochure, based on your company’s repair experience for the same or similar items. If a source approval request is already under evaluation at NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, include a copy of the cover letter that forwarded the request. Offers lacking the required Source Approval Brochure data, or documentation of prior submission of that data, will not be considered; if timely approval cannot be obtained, award may still proceed based on Fleet support needs.
