The Government intends to procure two units of NSN 7R-2815-014553705-SX under TDP VER 003, delivered FOB Origin. The item requires Government source approval prior to contract award because it is flight critical and/or the available technical data is inadequate for full and open competition, and the Government lacks sufficient data to source it from other than the current approved source(s). Only previously approved sources have been solicited; new sources must submit the required source approval information with their proposal per the applicable NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure or document prior submission of that data, and offers missing required data will not be considered. If source approval cannot be processed in time, award may proceed based on Fleet support needs, and award is contingent on meeting qualification requirements at time of award under FAR 52.209-1. FAR Part 12 commercial-item procedures are not being used, though interested parties may identify a commercial item capable of satisfying the requirement to the contracting officer.
