The Navy seeks repair, testing, and inspection of 2 units of NSN 6150-01-555-4509, Distributing System, P/N 449-075-401-105. The initial induction period is 365 calendar days from contract award, with a Government option to extend it by another 365 days for a total of two years. The contractor must propose option pricing for up to 20 units over the entire contract period, including the initial quantity, with separate second-year pricing if pricing changes after the first 365 days. Repairs must be performed at the facility identified in the Statement of Work: Projects Unlimited Inc., 6300 Sand Lake Rd., Dayton, OH 45414-2649. Repaired items carry a one-year warranty after delivery, with defects to be reported within 45 days after discovery.

The Government is procuring two units of a flight-critical item, with delivery FOB Origin, and lacks sufficient accurate or legible data to purchase it from sources other than the current approved source(s). Because the item requires Government source approval prior to contract award, only previously approved sources have been solicited, and new sources must provide the required Source Approval Information Brochure data with their proposal. Offers that fail to provide all required source approval data, or that do not document prior submission of that data, will not be considered for award. If source approval cannot be processed in time to meet Fleet support needs, award may proceed despite the source approval requirement. The solicitation does not use FAR Part 12 commercial-item procedures, though interested parties may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item.
