This is a sole-source procurement for one unit (1 EA) of a flight-critical part requiring Government engineering source approval by the design control activity, with delivery FOB origin. Only previously approved sources have been solicited; alternate sources must qualify under NAVSUP WSS procedures and submit the required source approval information with their offers to be considered. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1, though responsible sources may identify their interest or capability. Award requires the offeror, product/service, or manufacturer to meet all qualification requirements at the time of award. Commercial item policies under FAR Part 12 are not being used, and certain Free Trade Agreements and the WTO Government Procurement Agreement terms may apply if included in the solicitation.
