This requirement is for 7 units of an NSN part that is flight critical and requires Government source approval prior to contract award to maintain quality. Only sources previously approved by the Government for this item have been solicited, and new sources must provide detailed technical data per the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Brochure. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1, but all responsible sources may submit capability statements for consideration. Award will only be made if the offeror, product, or manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award. Delivery is FOB origin, and the acquisition is not being treated as a commercial item purchase.
