This is a sole-source requirement for a flight-critical item, quantity 12, with delivery FOB origin. Only government-approved sources are solicited because the technical data is unavailable for competitive acquisition. Any new source must submit a Source Approval Brochure with their offer; failure to do so will result in non-consideration. If source approval cannot be processed in time, the government may proceed with award based on fleet support needs. The acquisition is not being conducted under commercial item policies.
