This is a pre-solicitation notice for the repair and modification of an item, which is currently a sole-source requirement for Mercury Mission Systems as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). While the government intends to negotiate a Repair Basic Ordering Agreement with this prime contractor, it is inviting capability statements from other responsible sources to potentially qualify as alternate suppliers. Interested parties must submit specific company and technical capability information to the listed point of contact. A critical requirement is that any alternate source must obtain government source approval prior to award, a process that typically takes too long to delay an award. Proposals received within 45 days of the synopsis publication will be considered.
