This is a pre-solicitation synopsis for repair and/or modification of the Attachment A item, which is sole-source to GE Aerospace (CAGE 07639) as the OEM because the Government lacks the necessary repair/manufacturing data. The Government intends to negotiate a Repair Basic Ordering Agreement with the prime contractor under FAR 6.302-1, and only the source previously approved by the Government for these repairs will be solicited. Although all responsible sources may submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations, this notice is not a request for competitive proposals. New sources must qualify through the design control activity and obtain Government source approval prior to award, submitting the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure data with their proposal; approval timing normally cannot delay award, and the Government may proceed based on Fleet support needs.
