NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to manufacture the items identified within this notice. The Government intends to modify an existing delivery order, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204 (a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This modification will change the coverage of the contract from the manufacture of only the left side F/A-18 TEF Shroud Tooling Suite to the manufacture of both the left side and right side tooling suites. Absent Government approval of additional sources, the Government intends to add this scope to Delivery Order N0038324F0YY0, with The Boeing Company (Cage Code 0PXV4). F/A-18 Trailing Edge Flap (TEF) Shroud Left Hand (LH) Assembly-Level Tool Suite Suite consists of the following part numbers: 74A182300-5001 (Assembly Jig) 74A182300-5003 (Hoist Fixture Line Dolly) 74A182302-5003 (Assembly Jig) 74A182302-5001 (Drill Template) 74A182310-5001 (Assembly Jig) 74A182310-5001 (Assembly Facility Tool) 74A182310-5001 (Bond Jig) 74A182310-5001 (Process Handling Fixture) 74A182310-5013 (Developed Template) F/A-18 Trailing Edge Flap (TEF) Shroud Right Hand (RH) Assembly-Level Tool Suite Suite consists of the following part numbers: 74A182300-5002 (Assembly Jig) 74A182302-5004 (Assembly Jig) 74A182302-5002 (Drill Template) 74A182310-5002 (Assembly Jig) 74A182310-5002 (Assembly Facility Tool) 74A182310-5002 (Bond Jig) 74A182310-5002 (Process Handling Fixture) 74A182310-5014 (Developed Template) The Government does not possess the technical data (including drawings) necessary to perform the requirements under the forthcoming modification. The identified source is the Original Equipment manufacture (OEM) and the only known source capable of satisfying the Government’s requirement. All responsible sources may identify and provide capability statements in response to the notice. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Source Approval is required. WSS will not delay award while Source Approval is pending. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.
