NAVSUP WSS intends to add NSN: 1560-01-567-5266 (P/N: 74A350004-2025) and NSN: 1560-01-622-7235 (P/N: 74A350006-2037) items to Basic Ordering Agreement with PPG/Sierracin, Cage 12035, to support the F/A-18 Aircraft. The Government physically does not have in its possession sufficient, accurate or legible data to purchase this part from other than the current source. Only the source previously approved by the government for this item has been solicited. The subject item requires Government source approval prior to contract award, as the item is flight critical and/or the technical data available has not been determined adequate to support acquisition via full and open competition. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award can not be delayed pending approval of a new source, If you are not an approved source, you must submit, together with your proposal, the information detailed in the https://www.neco.navy.mil/sar.aspx NAVSUP source approval request at www.navsup.navy.mil. If your request for source approval is currently being evaluated at NAVSUP WSS, submit with your offer a copy of the cover letter which was forwarded with your request for source approval. If evaluation of a source approval request submitted can not be processed in time and/or approval requirements preclude the availability to obtain subject items in time to meet Government requirements, award of the subject requirement may continue based on fleet support needs.
