The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit NGC Linthicum Heights (97942). The government intends to issue a 5-year Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for the repair of the following NSNs: 5985-01-585-5465 5999-01-517-0649 5999-01-484-8883 6610-01-585-5320 6120-01-585-5458 5985-01-585-5316 5985-01-585-5319 5985-15-207-4550 5985-01-609-8976 5895-01-587-4239 5985-01-587-4866 5975-01-609-8967 5975-01-609-8968 5865-01-645-8070 5865-01-585-5315 5865-01-585-5315 5865-01-645-8337 5865-01-585-5311 5865-01-585-5311 5985-01-587-4766 5985-01-587-4766 The government does not possess (or cannot provide) the data necessary to perform the required repairs or manufacture of the item. There are multiple NAICs codes: 334220,334511,335311,335931. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the Free Trade Agreements Act and/or the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. Based on Market Research, the Government’s need may be met by a type of item customarily available in the commercial market place that would meet the definition of a commercial item at FAR Subpart 2.1. The contracting officer shall solicit and award any resultant contract using the policies and procedures of FAR Part 12. All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this sources sought notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Source Approval is required. WSS will not delay award while Source Approval is pending. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.
