NSN 1R-3040-007844207-SX, TDP VER 001, QTY 10 EA, DELIVERY FOB ORIGIN. NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to manufacture the item as specified within this document. The Government intends to solicit publicly through NECO for competitive offers for the procurement of: NSN: 1RD 3040 007844207 SX, P/N: 514985-1, Nomenclature: STRAIGHT SHAFT, QTY:10, and the Weapon System, Ship or Aircraft the item is used on or supports. The government does possess the data necessary to perform the required manufacture of the item. This item provides for a total (100%) small business program set-aside. The applicable NAICS code is 333613. The item under this acquisition is subject to the Free Trade Agreements Act and/or the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. Based on Market Research, if the Government's need may be met by a type of item customarily available in the commercial market place that would meet the definition of a commercial item at FAR Subpart 2.1. The contracting officer shall solicit & award any resultant contract using the policies &procedures of FAR Part 12. All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government under which Source Approval will be required. NAVSUP WSS will not delay award while Source Approval is pending. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.
