NAVSUP WSS Phila, is interested in developing sources to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to repair the items specified on the attached document. Currently absent interest by/approval of additional sources, the Government intends to negotiate a contract for this effort with the only approved source, L3 Communications Corp. Under the authority of FAR 6.301-1. Specifically, the government intends to award the attached FMS items to existing BOA to N00383-15-G-002N. It should be noted by potential interested sources that the Government physically does not have in its possession sufficient, accurate, or legible data to contract repair with other than the only approved source. While interested sources are invited to submit a source approval request, due to the Fleets need for the subject repair effort, the time required for approval of a new source is normally such that the contemplated award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Submission of a source approval request, however, may enable an interested firm to become an approved source for a future procurement.
